Two ways to work with us, both quoted in writing first
An AI Employee is priced per role, per month, one flat amount however hard it works. Consulting for larger organisations runs at an agreed hourly rate with a written cap. Neither has a published figure, because both are quoted against your systems and your scope. The first conversation, and the demo, are free.

Per role, per month
Not per seat, not per task, not metered against usage
Each AI Employee is priced per role per month, with a once off activation fee that covers the position description, the induction and the first weeks of tuning. The monthly amount is fixed for the role and does not move with how much the role does, which is what makes leaving it working overnight and over the weekend affordable. Billing is monthly, in Australian dollars, with GST stated on every invoice.
No figure is published here because the activation work varies with the systems the role touches. After a thirty minute conversation you get a written quote that sets out the monthly amount, the activation fee and exactly what the role will do, before anything starts. Platform infrastructure is included; there is no separate token or model bill.
Why is an AI Employee not priced per seat or per token?
Because a role that picks up its own work every thirty minutes, all night, would be unaffordable on a metered plan and you would only find out on the invoice. A flat amount per role means the cost is known before the role starts and does not change when the week gets busy. One AI Employee can serve several people in the business; a role with a large, uninterrupted workload gets a dedicated one.
What does the activation fee cover?
Writing the position description with you, requesting and checking the access the role needs, the induction (the role reads your policies, contracts and history before it does anything), and the first weeks of tuning while the sign-off gate is set tight. It is quoted once, in the same document as the monthly amount.
What happens if we stop?
The notice period is set out in the written agreement before the role starts. When a role is stood down, the position description, the standards it wrote down, the decision log and the records it kept are yours and are handed over. What it learned about your business stays with you.

Scoped and capped in writing
An agreed hourly rate; the cap is the most you can pay
The four consulting parts (champion training, the process audit, governance and policy, the roadmap) run at an agreed hourly rate. Before anything starts we scope the engagement, agree the rate, and put a cap on the hours and cost in writing, so it never turns into an open-ended invoice. If the work comes in under the cap, you pay for the hours used, not the estimate.
Take any part on its own or all four; hours are estimated per deliverable in the proposal. Everything produced is handed over in full.
How much does an AI consultant cost in Australia?
Rates for AI consulting vary widely with experience and specialisation. Our rate depends on the scope and nature of the engagement, and it is given, with the cap, at the free first conversation.
Do you charge for the first conversation, the demo or the scoping?
No. The thirty minute conversation, the demo against your own process, and the scoping that produces a written quote or cap are all free, so you know the figure before spending a dollar. If you engage us for a standalone consulting engagement and later place an AI Employee or go ahead with a build, the consulting fee is waived.
What is not included?
For consulting work, third-party software subscriptions and any hosting your own systems need are billed by those providers and are set out plainly in the proposal. For an AI Employee, the platform and the model usage are inside the monthly amount; the only outside costs are the licences you already hold for the systems the role works in.
